EMERGENCY STEERING MOTOR
An emergency steering system includes a backup gear pump which is driven by a DC motor, used in heavy vehicles such as dozers, dumpers as an alternate provision to assist hydraulic steering system when a regular hydraulic circuits fails.
The gear pump assembly is designed to develop high pressure which is required to operate the emergency steering system. With full load, the emergency steering motor can be operated up to a maximum of three minutes.
Mounting brackets are designed with cast iron to absorb vibration.
